# Guides

Work through a complete task, from choosing an interface to reading the original evidence.

Canonical: https://docs.cyberrxn.com/en/docs/guides

Start with the outcome you need. Each guide explains the decisions along the way and what to inspect before using the result. The [API reference](/en/docs/api/reference) supplies exact fields once you know which operation to call.

## Get your first result

| Your goal | Guide | What you will have at the end |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Choose between the app, an assistant and code | [Choose an interface](/en/docs/guides/choosing-an-interface) | A setup path that fits your workflow |
| Find a reported preparation of a molecule | [From a molecule to source evidence](/en/docs/guides/first-evidence) | An observation, its source paragraph and a clear account of missing information |
| Make a request without an SDK | [First API request](/en/docs/quickstart) | Verified access and a reproducible chemistry check |
| Ask ChatGPT or Claude about a reaction | [Connect an assistant](/en/docs/mcp) | An authorized MCP connection and a way to verify actual tool activity |

## Build a repeatable workflow

Use [common task recipes](/en/docs/recipes) for complete examples of molecule search, exact transformations, atom balance and structure conversion. They show the equivalent REST operations and JavaScript methods alongside Python examples.

For your first integration, follow this order:

1. [Install an SDK](/en/docs/installation) or start with the [cURL quickstart](/en/docs/quickstart).
2. Select the right [search semantics](/en/docs/chemistry/search) for a molecule, a complete reaction side or a transformation.
3. Read a full observation before presenting a source-backed conclusion.
4. Apply [usage controls](/en/docs/api/usage), [rate limits](/en/docs/api/rate-limits) and [error handling](/en/docs/api/errors) before increasing volume.

## Understand what a result establishes

- **Reported evidence:** a retrieved observation can describe an experiment in its source. Read that source and preserve unknown conditions.
- **Chemical consistency:** [validation and balancing](/en/docs/chemistry/validation) check a supplied representation or equation. They do not establish experimental feasibility.
- **Representation changes:** [conversion](/en/docs/chemistry/conversion) has explicit input/output formats and preservation diagnostics.
- **Source improvements:** [reports and contributions](/en/docs/contributions) have separate evidence and review requirements.

If you already know the operation, go directly to the [API reference](/en/docs/api/reference). If a request fails, use the stable error code and `request_id` with the [troubleshooting guide](/en/docs/faq).
