Usage, prepaid balance and bonus calls

Keep call allowance, money and contribution rewards separate.

GET /v1/usage is non-billable. SDK methods usage() show the current UTC billing month or an explicitly requested period.

Three distinct balances

  1. Included calls belong to the workspace's plan and trial eligibility.
  2. Prepaid credit is money in credit_balance_microusd and is charged at the plan's configured overage rate.
  3. Bonus units are actual calls earned through contributions, exposed as bonus_calls_remaining, bonus_calls_earned, bonus_calls_used.

One bonus covers one successful metered call after the included allowance. It is not converted to an arbitrary dollar amount. Failed reserved calls release the corresponding call or money reservation once. The ledger preserves grants, usage and refunds.

Every admitted search, evidence retrieval, chemistry validation, balance or conversion is one metered operation. Iterating pages or converting a balance result is another operation. Stable dispatch records the actual action name and follows the same rules. Status/guide/feedback operations are non-billable and do not bypass authorization.

Read the scope

Live and test counters are separate. Workspace, member, key and connection policies can further restrict admitted work. A remaining bonus or purchased balance does not cancel a stricter call policy.

The dashboard Usage page shows call breakdowns, support IDs and actual debits. No automatic recharge is implied by having an API key; billing settings are separate from a call-limit reset.
